with great power comes great responsibility...
"the movie's central emotional tussle is the doomed, yearning love between Pete and Mary Jane. When one is available, the other isn't. ... it looks like they'll never get it together."
~ The Washington Post
"Being Spider-Man is a burden. Because he's always chasing police sirens, ... and, most significantly, can't be with the great love of his life, Mary Jane Watson."

The reviews seem to say that this is the most 'emotional' comic-superhero movie ever. A superhero dilemma turned masterpiece.
Peter Parker has an crisis: to choose between 'his calling' (i.e. to save the world), and the love of his life (i.e. Mary Jane). Peter couldn't tell MJ everything that he does - because it's a totally different world. Peter couldn't even tell MJ that he loves her.
I really got to see this movie :)
